What to bring

What to NOT to bring

Camp is at the 5,000 foot elevation. Days are warm in August, but evenings and mornings may be cool. It is better to overpack than to underpack. Please mark all items with your name.

● Qur’an, tablet or note paper, pens/pencils

● Sleeping bag (or blanket)/sheets/pillow

● For children 4 and under bring a small crib/playpen/stroller for child to sleep in (mothers are assigned one single bed only).

● Light jacket or sweater. Umbrella/poncho/rain jacket in case of unexpected rain.

● Walking or tennis shoes, flip-flops for shower/wudu

● Towels, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, lip balm, tissues, insect repellent

● Flashlight, extra batteries.

● Earplugs and eye mask to help you sleep.

The following items are not allowed:

● Excess cash; however, there may be items available for purchase

● Chewing gum, sunflower seeds, personal snack food of any kind (NOT ALLOWED IN CABINS, PER CAMP GREEN MEADOWS)

● Shorts, tank tops, short/clingy tops, tight clothing, sagging/low-rise pants or otherwise inappropriate/un-Islamic clothing.

● Music players, games, curling irons, walkie-talkies, playing cards, comic books, and the like.

● Knives, guns, or weapons of any kind

● Tobacco products, vapes, e-cigarettes
